1. Schedule Your Free Consultation
Consultations are always free. You can book HERE, the Book Now button, the Schedule a Consultation button, or the Free Consultations tab — all lead to the same appointment scheduler, powered by Google.
Choose the date and time that works best for you.
You’ll receive an automated confirmation email with a Google Meet link.
Google will also send a reminder 24 hours before your consultation.
Important:
Bookmark or favorite your confirmation email — it contains the link you’ll need to join the consultation.
Joining Your Consultation:
Desktop or Laptop: No Google account or installation required if using Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
Phone or Tablet: You may be prompted to install the free Google Meet app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Your Consultation
At your scheduled time, click the Google Meet link and select “Ask to Join.”
During the consultation:
We’ll go over which type of portrait experience most interest you:

Important Notes:
My packages cover the session itself — planning, shooting, editing, and delivery of your online gallery.
Photos are not included in the session price. Digital images are purchased separately after the session, so you only pay for the ones you want.
This keeps things flexible and straightforward — no surprises or hidden costs.
3. Agreements + Gallery Release + Payment
After the consultation, you’ll receive:
An electronic service agreement and a photo release form sent to your provided e-mail
Before your session can be officially booked, all documents must be signed.
Gallery Release Options:
As part of the release, you’ll have the option to make your gallery public or keep it private:
If you opt in, I may use your full gallery in my portfolio.
If you opt out, I may still feature a few favorite images — unless you request the option to opt out completely.
Once your documents are signed, you’ll receive a separate email with a booking link and payment instructions for your session.
4. Your Portrait Session
We’ll meet at the agreed-upon location and begin your session.
I’ll guide you through the entire shoot — no modeling experience needed.
Sessions typically last 30 to 90 minutes, depending on your package.
If you have specific ideas or inspiration we discussed, we’ll bring those to life. Otherwise, I’ll direct the session while leaving room for authentic, unscripted moments.
5. Gallery Delivery + Purchasing Your Images
You’ll receive your gallery via email based on your session type:
Spotlight Session: 5–10 business days
Legacy Signature Session: 3–7 business days
Heirloom Experience: within 3 business days
What to Expect:
Your gallery will be fully edited and ready to view.
Images will appear with a watermark until purchased.
Once purchased, digital images are immediately available for download.
Pricing + Products
Digital images: $15 each
Specialty products: I offer premium print options including canvases, wall art, fine art prints, customizable cards, and more — all shipped directly to your door.
These products were once standard in photography. Today, most people turn to third-party print labs that offer lower quality. I provide carefully selected, professional-grade products that give you full control and unmatched results — right here through Legacy by Lauris.
6. After You Receive Your Photos
Love your images? Feel free to share them on social media — and if you do, I’d love it if you tagged me! It’s one of the best ways to support small businesses and helps others discover meaningful, personalized portrait experiences.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a deposit required to reserve my session?
Portrait Packages:
No, there’s no separate deposit. Your session fee acts as your deposit — it’s required to secure your date and covers the planning, session time, editing, and gallery delivery. This fee is non-refundable and ensures your spot is reserved just for you.
Wedding Packages
Full details — including deposits, pricing, coverage options, and add-ons — will be discussed during your consultation. This ensures your package is tailored to your unique vision and needs.
How do I Pay?
Payments are made securely via Stripe, and I accept all major credit cards for your convenience. (See step 3 and 5 above)
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If weather conditions aren’t ideal (rain, strong winds, extreme temperatures), I’ll reach out to reschedule your session or you can contact me HERE. Your comfort and the quality of your photos come first, and I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your shoot.
Can I reschedule my portrait session?
Life happens, I totally get that. Yes, you may reschedule once if something comes up and I’ll be happy to accommodate. Reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. Any reschedule requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may be considered a cancellation.
Additional rescheduling beyond the first change is not included. If a second change is needed, a new session fee will apply.
If you're within the allowed window, you can reschedule directly using the link in your original confirmation email for your Session Booking (not your Consultation Confirmation email). This is the easiest and fastest way to adjust your booking. If you don’t see the link or have trouble, feel free to contact me HERE.
Additional rescheduling beyond the first change is not included. If a second change is needed, a new session fee will apply.
What is your cancellation policy?
Session fees are non-refundable. I understand that unexpected things come up, but due to the time and planning involved in each session, any cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the session fee. To keep things fair and consistent, I don’t make exceptions to this policy.
If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance using the link in your Session Booking confirmation email (not your consultation confirmation). No-call, no-show appointments are treated as cancellations and will require a new consultation to be scheduled and a session fee to rebook.
How many photos will you take?
The number of photos taken in total for our sessionI depends on your session type, how much time we have based on outfit changes, number of people in the party, and your specific needs. There’s no fixed number because each session is unique. I focus on quality, variety, and making sure you have plenty of images to choose from.
When will I receive my photos?
Gallery delivery time depends on your session package:

Are digital images included in my session fee?
No. Your session fee covers planning, the session itself, editing, and gallery delivery. Digital images are $15 each and are purchased separately, so you only pay for the photos you truly love.
Do you offer printed products?
Yes — I offer a curated selection of high-end printed products including canvases, wall art, fine art prints, and custom cards available for purchase from the Legacy Showcase Shop . All items are produced by professional labs and shipped directly to you.
Can I change outfits during my session?
The Legacy Signature Session allows for 1 outfit change and The Heirloom Experience allows for unlimited outfit changes. We’ll discuss outfit options during your consultation so you feel confident and prepared for your shoot. Eye, neck or headwear (eg. glasses, hats and scarves) are not considered outfit changes and may be changed at any time with any portrait package.
Do you charge travel fees?
Sessions within 50 miles of Hillsborough NC are included. For drivable distances over 50 miles, a fee of $1.50 per mile will be added as a “travel fee”. For overnight or destination sessions that require air travel or accommodations, all travel expenses — including flights, hotel, and ground transportation — are covered by the client. These details will be discussed and confirmed during your consultation.
What should I wear to my session?
Choose outfits that feel like you and make you feel confident. Neutral tones, simple patterns, and clothing that fits well tend to photograph best. Avoid bright logos or overly busy prints. If you’re not sure what works, I’m happy to give personalized wardrobe suggestions during your consultation based on your session type, location, and the overall look you want to achieve.
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely. You're welcome to bring a friend, partner, or family member for support — especially if it helps you feel more relaxed during the session. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly and make sure the session space works for everyone.
